A purpose-built nursery set in a former modern chapel
Honey Pots Swadlincote operates from a former modern chapel, providing care and education across our Tiny Tots, Toddlers and Pre-School rooms.
We are registered with Ofsted to care for no more than 50 children aged 3 months to 12 years. Rooms are kept bright and airy, with age allocation used as a guide alongside each child's individual stage of development, and the nursery benefits from internal and external CCTV plus optional secure fingerprint access.
We have an exceptional secure outside area used in all weathers, with Forest School sessions offered depending on demand, as well as a dedicated sensory room with a ball pit, calming music, coloured lights and mirrors for quiet or one-to-one time.
The management team has worked hard since the last inspection to raise the quality of the provision. Self-evaluation is effective. The views of parents, children, staff and outside agencies are used to help the manager identify ways to continue to improve children’s experiences.
The nursery is very well equipped. A wide range of interesting resources is easily accessible, both indoors and outdoors. This means children are eager to join in and are able to confidently make choices to lead their own play.
Staff are passionate about supporting children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. Secure partnership working with outside agencies and other professionals ensures that when needed, children receive support as early as possible.
The nursery environment reflects the diverse backgrounds of the children and the wider community. Children learn to respect and celebrate each other’s differences. They are valued as unique individuals.
We are open 7.30am–6pm.
We offer 15 hours sessions (AMs 9am–12pm or PMs 1pm–4pm, Monday to Friday) and 30 hours sessions (9am–3pm, Monday to Friday), term time only; optional extras such as meals and trips are not included.
Yes, we have internal and external CCTV and an optional secure fingerprint access system for parents.
